Well my first week without working at the hospital has come and gone…what has happened??? Not much really. Life goes on with monotonous regularity. The sun rises and sets each day with not much in between. It is so easy to waste hours doing very little. I am still hit and miss with my sleeping pattern and have not managed to accomplish much for the week except for babysitting twice and spending Anzac day with my hubby going for a long walk. The rest of the week has been researching how to set up a blog, wading through copious posts on face book, watching TV, cleaning the house and wandering aimlessly around said house and yard.

Part of me feels a bit lost. My regular routine is out the window so now I have to discipline myself to create a new and healthy routine that includes eating better, exercise and trying to get my sleeping under control.

This morning I spent catching up with my kids for breakfast. Today marks the 23rd birthday of my son, tomorrow marks the 25th birthday of my eldest daughter. I can’t believe that it was 23 years ago today that my boy was born… where has the time gone? So much has happened in that time it seems almost a lifetime ago. Maybe I will write about the goings on of that period in my life at another time.

In the mean time I will continue to try and sort myself, my health and sleeping out and try and get myself back on track to living a ‘normal’ life.
